Re: How to draw 3D in AutoCAD While I could likely give you a bit more info than this, information technology'south likely important I ask this question starting time as it might generate a more informed response from a person in a specific field: What type of drawing are you looking to do? Will information technology be Mechanical, Architectural, etc?

Re: How to describe 3D in AutoCAD If I remember correctly from my old 3d AutoCAD days, if you have drawn the "program" in a polyline, so that may be extuded to form your basis of the 3d model.

This is only ane fashion, there are countless others as many more imformed than I will help...

Re: How to depict 3D in AutoCAD The very basis from which to begin, is to learn to work with X, Y and Z axes... 3D Infinite. The type of industry yous are working in will determine to a degree the manner in which you lot create your models, but no matter what type of manufacture it is for, it is important to be able to work within three dimensional space. Go your head around the nuts of using 3D geometry (cylinders, boxes, spheres, cones, donuts), cartoon using the 0,0,0 (X,Y,Z) annotation, the use of faces, extrusions, paths and planes, and creating compound geometry using improver, subtraction, and marriage (although I would suggest steering clear of this as much as possible if y'all intend exporting big models to MAX / VIZ as face and vertex counts increase drastically)
In the stop, information technology is all these and bit a more that you lot will exist using, merely once you have the nuts down, you'll be able to pick upward on the residuum with practice.
